Without further ado…

We have 3 big updates for you!
Hey fellow train traveller,

2024 is around the corner, so if you're like us, you are already mapping next year's trips. But before you do, be sure to read this email because it might just have the key to your top 2024 travel moment.

Two major pass updates:
  • The 6-day Eurail / Interrail Greek Island Pass is now available
  • The Jungfraujoch is now part of the Eurail / Interrail Passes
But which to choose? We have a foolproof way to find which is right for your next trip. Simply answer this question:

When you are being "one with nature," what are you doing?
  1. Scaling a mountain before the sun has even risen.
  2. Soaking up the sun beachside (it's outside - that counts!).

If you answered A, then you should take advantage of Jungfraujoch being part of the Eurail & Interrail Passes.

If you answered B, then it's time to set sail and soak up the beauty of the Greek Islands.

Highlights: Standing atop the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you are at the highest train station in Europe. Warning: if the elevation doesn't, the view will make you lose your breath!

Highlights: Sail from the calm beaches of Syros to the iconic shores of Santorini and beyond. All you need to bring is your pass, some sunscreen, and an appetite for adventure and moussaka. Yum!

And last but not least, you asked and we listened:

Book your Global ans Swiss Travel Passholder fares directly on Rail Europe!

If you have a Global Eurail or Interrail Pass or a Swiss Travel Pass, you can now book your train reservations right on Rail Europe! Here's how it works:

Certain types of trains (high-speed trains, international cross border trains, some panoramic trains, night trains and ferries), require a reservation for Eurail and Interrail Passholders  and Swiss Travel Passholders. Even the trains that Passholders can take on a whim without a reservation still require booking a Passholder fare. Before today, travellers had to make these reservations on another website or even in person on the day of travel.

Now you can avoid that stress (and those long lines)!

If you are travelling on a train operated by SNCF, Trenitalia and RHB (which run routes in France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland), you can simply book your seat on the Rail Europe website. First, search the train you wish to take and we will then automatically tell you if a seat reservation is required. If it is, in just a few clicks, you can book your seat at a discounted rate.
